Mega Sale Beginners Motor Hunt 2010

Date: 24th July 2010

COC: The Trailblazers

In conjuction with the Mid Year Mega Sale 2010, Tropicana City Mall has engaged the Trailblazers to organize a treasure hunt event for beginners. So, as usual I spread the news to my teammates and all of them agree to participate eventhough we have just gone hunting last month (Johnson & Johnson Amazing Explore Hunt 2010)

This time around there is no newcomer that wanted to join us due to many unlogical reasons, some says we will not win, waste of money, very hot weather blah..blah..blah.. Despite all this, it does not hamper our moral to actively involved in this type of activities. I always believe that no matter what the outcome is, experience is the most important thing to gain. There are a lot of things we need to learn to polish our skills so that in the next hunt event we are more prepared.

At 7.00am, we all arrived at Tropicana City Mall to register ourselves. Sticking to our previous position, Azham will continue to play with the Tulips to assist Suhaida as driver while me and Eija will continue to crack open our heads with hunt questions.

During the briefing session, we are told that there will be 4 parts to be completed according to sequence in which:

Part 1 - There will be 2 questions to be answered in the mall to get the next route questions and tulips.

Part 2 - There will be 17 questions to be answered on the road and in between, there will be challenges to be completed as well. Then, we have to go back to Tropicana City Mall to begin Part 3.

Part 3 - There will be 5 questions to be answered in the mall (again?) and submit alltogether with 5 treasure questions to finish the hunt.

Fuyoo!! So complicated and I must say the four of us are clueless about this type of event. Nevertheless, we will try our best to finish this hunt within the stipulated time duration. Let the hunting begins!

Me and Azham still feeling dizzy because have to wake up early in the morning.

Otai hunters detected. I thought this hunt is only for beginners,eh? Nevermindlah.

Suhaida with her golfing skills in one of the challenges.

Question: Starting pay given more.Where is the answer?

Answer: Salun Kecantikan PRAISE (Initial + Substitute type of Q)

After the hunt, all of us do some window shopping while waiting for the results. Unfortunately, the results of the winners will only be announced at night so we have decided not to wait because all of us were feeling exhausted. We only go for the Q&A sessions in which we managed to answer 22 questions correct out of 30 questions. Not bad huh? Yes, indeed but I don't think we manage to get into Top 10 but it's okay. We have learn new things from this hunt and hopefully we are well prepared for the next hunt incoming. Adios!!

Johnson & Johnson Amazing Explore Hunt 2010

This entry was previously posted on June 2010 on my old blogdrive.com. Too bad it's gone.. And now it's here again! After my short Gawai holiday, I managed to team up once again with Kak Sue, Azham & Eija for this Amazing Explore Hunt. What's so amazing about it? Well, for a start, one of us have to climb the KL Tower by stairs (not elevators) to reach the top and look out for the answers. Secondly, we got to play "shoot out penalty" and golf. Too bad we couldn't play the paintball challenge. The last challenge is to remember the exact position of a jigsaw puzzle. On top of that, there are two bonus challenges whereby we must find a "guli" (marble) in a tank full of snakes and also transfer the worm from one plate to another using our mouth. Yucks!! Too bad, our camera girl couldn't take many photo of this event since all of us are too busy solving questions and doing challenges. And we didn't win either. To be honest, this hunt is not t...

Bukit Broga, Semenyih

This morning, exactly at 4.30am, my friends and I rushed to Semenyih by cars. Destination? Bukit Broga (Broga Hills). Lately, Bukit Broga is getting famous, thanks to our first astronaut, Dato' Sheikh Muszaphar for promoting the place, "indirectly". For those not in the know, Bukit Broga is a favourite spot among professional and amateur photographers for taking wonderful wedding or scenary pictures. However, our intention is not to challenge them in taking great photos. Our big mission today is to hunt for the beautiful sunrise and snap a picture out of it. Fast forward, as we reached the entrance to Bukit Broga, a number of cars has already filled up the parking lot in the palm oil estate. Yet, we managed to park our cars there. Using only a tiny head torchlight, we embrace the small jungle. Aiyoh, hiking a small mountain is not as easy as you think. As it was still very dark, we could not spot the mountain trail. With a little help from the small trail and following h...

Life-Saver Walk Hunt 2010

As planned, the four of us arrived at Taman Tasik Titiwangsa at 7.30am and register ourselves at one of the booth where En. Zahrol, the Coc was standing. I am pretty sure that most of the participants have not yet arrived, judging from the short queue and also several boxes that are still sealed. At 8.00 am, En. Zahrol make a quick briefing to all participants. While my team mate enjoys the morning sunshine, I noticed some of the familiar faces of seasoned hunters taking part in this hunt. I also notice Michael Pang, too. Maybe he will be covering this hunt event and posted on his blog, as usual. The first part of the hunt involves answering 20 questions related to Pusat Sumber Transplant Nasional. The second part involves answering 15 questions whereby 10 questions can be answered directly by looking at several signages while the last 5 questions are cryptic questions. 4 out of 5 cryptic questions were easily cracked and spotted except for Question No. 4. “Pi, sounds like eye eye”. Wh...
